Become a pHS Volunteer

We invite you to become involved with PHS year round.  Many activities, programs and events are held throughout the growing season and especially during the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show.  Your contribution of time and talent will support the PHS mission and you'll have a great time, too!  PHS works with thousands of gardening enthusiasts who share a love of plants and sustainability, but no experience is necessary- just a willingness to learn and lend a helping hand!

Celebrate Arbor Day with Plant One Million by participating in a local tree planting the weekend of April 24th - 26th! Sign up here. (You will need an email address, but you will not be required to create a login). Visit Plant One Million for more information.

2500 Reed St Garden Build - Since Summer 2014, PHS City Harvest and the Nationalities Service Center have been leading workdays to clean the 2500 Reed Street site and build growing spaces necessary for the space to open to gardeners. This day will continue that process and include more clean-up of the site and surrounding streets, building and filling raised garden beds with compost and continuing to work to cover crop the areas around the beds. Sign up here.
